Для оправки новых записей в Livejournal на смену не работающему LivePress был найден LiveJournal Crossposter. На первый взгляд настроек в нем гораздо меньше, но нам-то главное, чтобы он работал:

There’s some issue with Unicode supportWhat that means for you: Don’t plan on being able to post in any language that doesn’t use the Roman alphabet. Chinese, Japanese, probably Russian are all out.

Пока не решена проблема с поддержкой русского - отлючил плагин.

Sorry, but I can’t read Russian, so I can’t tell exactly what the post says. Can you confirm that Russian doesn’t work?

It seems like, even though data is stored to the database as Unicode, the Wordpress retrieval function pulls it out as if it were a Latin-1 encoding, which screws up basically anything that’s not a 1 bit character (including, I presume, Russian).

I’m trying to figure out just what I need to do to make the conversion happen. I’ll be sure to let you know when I come up with any potential solutions.

Yes, I confirm it.

May be should try to look Live+Press plugin code, that post in russian encoding successfully.

We find the solution:

1) Go to http://www.livejournal.com/editinfo.bml
2) And set “Автоматически перекодировать старые записи из кодировки” to “None”:

Okay, but i found one more bug :)
if you try to edit your post in lj, you’ll get:
“Client error: Invalid text encoding: Cannot display this post. Please see http://www.livejournal.com/support/encodings.bml for more information.”

What this? May be, XML-RPC request have not valid encoding(not utf-8)? I don’t know, what to do, where look for bug… Have any idea?

Извините, интересно, а как сделать такую функцию WP как у Вас - комментарий lj-usera. Очень хотелось бы у себя завести это. Это plugin?

Denya - I don’t know why that encoding bug shows up initially, but if you run the script in user settings to convert old entries to Unicode, it goes away.

You only have to do that once. Happened to me, and I don’t even post in Russian.

Скачать новую версию плагина, там уже давно исправили эту проблему.
