According to the concept reflected in the abbreviation LTS, version 6.06 will be maintained and updated:
- Desktop version: until June 2009 (3 years from the date of issuance).
- Server version: until June 2011 (5 years from the date of issuance).
This will allow calmly wait until next «long-playing» release Ubuntu 8.04 LTS and schedule the update to it:

Holders of servers with Ubuntu 6.06 LTS installed and having problems with updates (slow or expensive Internet) I recommend to download Ubuntu 6.06.2 LTS Server Edition and upgrade from it, all others can safety wait until this April when Ubuntu 8.04 LTS will be available.
